My Nana owned Shear Delight in Johnson City. I was there most weekends before I was old enough to work, sweeping up, wiping down stations, going through the style books cover to cover while I waited on my family. I've been around this work as long as I can remember.
I've been paid for it since I was seventeen. First the front desk at Great Clips in Johnson City while I finished my program, and since March at Hair Benders in Kingsport, where I work as an associate. I got my license in April 2026.
Vivids are what I love most. Placement, the line where two colors meet, the way they melt together: that's what I'm thinking about when I'm not at work. Most of what you see here I did on my own time, for friends and for people I went through school with. All of it is mine, start to finish.
I also do creative and editorial makeup. It's where I get to build something completely from scratch, and it's my favorite thing to do.
Two years at a front desk before I ever worked a chair. Phones, booking, retail, the walk-in rush, and the difficult Saturday afternoon. I know how a salon runs from the side most stylists never see.
